FWO to make Rs 4,825m Mangi Dam in Ziarat

QUETTA: The Balochistan government and the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) on Tuesday signed an agreement to construct the Rs 4,825 million Mangi Dam in Ziarat district for meeting water shortage in the provincial capital.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousaf was also present on the occasion.

The CM was told that the dam would be completed by June 2009. It will have an area of 1,217 square km, height between 500 to 900 feet and storage capacity of 29,550 acre-feet.

Jam directed the project director and officials concerned to ensure timely completion of the Quetta Greater Water Supply Project. app
